Task description: This week was to write persuasive writing and to read a book called zoo debate and other articles.
Should we have zoos?
Today’s Zoos are very different from before. They are now more animals and no longer live in cages. In my opinion I think zoos should be banned because they are destroying animals’ circle of life and they have to hurt the animals so they can stay in their enclosures. They cut flamingos wings so they cannot escape their enclosures. The main reason why I think zoos are bad is that if they get released into the wild they will not know what to do because they are relying on zookeepers. Another reason is you can learn much on YouTube or any other social media. You can find facts or learn something about animals in newspapers, articles and google. In conclusion that is why I am against zoos and they should release the animals into the wild.
Hi Spencer, I enjoyed reading your writing on why you don’t like the idea of zoos. I hate the thought of the flamingos having their wings clipped too. I think your next step is to organise your writing into paragraphs – Mrs Dahliwal and I will help you with this. I like the way you have used language like ‘main reason’ and ‘another reason ‘ in your persuasive writing. Mahi pai.
Hi Spencer, this is a good reason why we should not have zoos. I know we already went on the zoo trip ages ago, but I still like this. It’s sad that flamingos have their wings cut- that’s like our legs and arms being cut so we can’t escape. Perhaps you should arrange your writing into paragraphs so it is easier to read.
